Diversity of two widespread Indo-Pacific sponge species

In this paper our MGAP students Sarah Benning and Emilie Kaltenbacher sequenced and analyzed the genetic data for abundant sponge species in the Indo-Pacific. Their data helped to assess that morphologically established demosponge species in the Indo-Pacific can be widespread, but simultaneously harbour cryptic, genetically distinct lineages.
